Update

I got a commission from one of my friends to make another birth stats pillow. :)

I've been working on a dress for my daughter... at least I was working on it & then I set it aside for so long she's grown, but I still think I can make it work. I've been trying to figure it out & I think I have it now. Wish me luck!
I lost my needle in my couch arm last night! o.O I tried to use magnets & push around where I felt it stab me... no luck there. I just hope it doesn't work its way back out & stab again.

Haven't worked on the house much. Sorted through the basket of stuff in my room & most of it became paper recycling. Still need to put away most of the "keep" stuff.

Day "off"

My mom took my daughter again last night/today, so I get most of a day "off" from kiddo to try & get things done. Last night, I finished embroidering the pillow for baby Jamie. Today, I ate breakfast, got a shower, finished the pillow, ate a snack & then lunch, wandered around trying to decide what to do next a few times, printed out my student loan tax form (this was more complicated than it should have been x3, especially considering it should have been mailed to us.), cleaned up 3 cat pukes* and wasted a bunch of time on the internet... which I'm kinda doing some more of now. *sigh* I have 45mins 'til my 1st appointment & from then 1hr & 15 'til the 2nd. Then I have to figure out getting little Booger back home.
My step-dad's father passed away early yesterday morning, so I was kinda surprised Mom & he were ok taking my daughter for the night, but they decided she was a welcome diversion. I'm not sure how to feel about his passing. He was not a nice person to me or most of the family. My step-dad called him by his first name, not "Dad."

*About the cat puke: one of our cats has Inflammatory Bowel Disease which flares up from time to time & makes her get sick all over. It's bad when it does, she pukes until her esophagus tears & bleeds & she loses her appetite & we have to give her steroids, Pepcid AC & eventually a human anti-anxiety pill that acts as an appetite stimulant for cats. We call this her "happy pill" as it makes her feel much better & she acts extra lovey & affectionate... & also tries to eat everything.

I guess I better at least fold some towels before my appointments. Bleh.

So, I took out the misplaced ":", but forgot to leave a gap to make it look more like a real digital clock.

I thought the blur was less distracting than the black boxes.

Turns out today's baby Jamie's mom's birthday, too, so I put together a little something...quicker.

The black boxes are on purpose... for privacy. The section I'm working on now is the time he was born... 1:14PM I intended to go back & put the "P" in later... the misplaced ":" however... I have to figure out. *sigh*

Everything in that color is one continuous thread starting with the knot that is the period by the "M" (which is why I was planning to get back to (& end at) the "P." I figure either I can carefully undo everything I've done up to & including the ":" or I can just snip the thread between the two dots & only undo those stitches, leaving a gap between the 1 & 4, & use the excess thread to tie knots at either end. I think I have enough space to do the latter, so I'll try it & hope it doesn't look awful. *facepalm*
